Corgi Pups — Oh My! Dog Photography

There has been puppies, dogs, families and hs seniors in the studio. Later today I will post some from those sessions. Dr. Marty Greer DVM, renowned Veterinarian and author, came from Wisconsin to have her litter of absolutely, the most adorable Corgi pups photographed.

This session was indeed special. Colby and Zach got engaged the evening before their session! They are such a wonderful couple. Their sweet dogs also joined in for the engagement session all dressed for the occasion wearing their favorite Illini tie. The first image made me chuckle and melted my heart. There is nothing like a BIG dog who thinks they are a lap dog. I have one of those too in my home.

It’s official — announcing the Unleashed | fine art dog photography workshops to be held September 18, 19, 20, 2009 in the Chicago area. Two and a half days of intensive learning and fun for only $695. Or pay $595 if you register before August 1, 2009. The workshop will be held at my studio located in Arlington Hts.

Unleashed | fine art dog photography workshops is a new adventure into the art of pet photography. Three photographers from three different metropolitan areas, bringing three different perspectives together in one place. This is a cooperative effort between

Teresa Berg (in Dallas),

Barbara Breitsameter (in Chicago) and

Bev Hollis (in Virginia/D.C.).

Why learn just one way of doing something? Our vision, technique, business experiences and styles are translated into an intense, yet fun and informal two and a half day learning retreat.

The workshop welcomes professional photographers of all skill levels. Because of the business information shared by the instructors, photographers that reside or have their business located within 40 mile radius from Arlington Hts. IL, Dallas, TX or Leesburg, VA will not be allowed to sign up for the Unleashed workshop.

To keep the experience “hands on” and personal, a very limited number of attendees will be allowed to register. We want to be able to personalize the learning and use small break out sessions to include shooting (both in the studio and on location), marketing and business practices and post processing. If you’re interested in adding this very vital and growing aspect of photography to your studio, please join us!

I’m in Love…….Chicago Pet Photographer

This little pup came into the studio for his first portrait. This is no ordinary puppy — this is my new “Granddog”. My middle son, Jay, gave his wife, Amanda, a poodle/bichon puppy for her birthday. Happy Birthday Amanda!

Rascal is his name. Now lets hope he doesn’t live up to that name. *grin* He is so sweet, playful and smart.
