Momentous Time – Chicago High School Senior Photographer

So many high school seniors and parents are very unhappy with their senior portraits that are required by the local high schools to be taken at the large nation-wide studios that are under contract with the school districts. I am amazed at the poor quality of senior portraits that I have seen. Many high schools seniors come to my studio to have their portraits retaken. It is such a momentous time that should be documented. What better way than with heirloom portraits; something that you will proudly display in your home, for your senior to hand out wallets to all of their friends and family and photos to add to their photo album.

This gorgeous high school senior came into the studio recently. We were suppose to do an outdoor session, however mother nature had other plans.

Springtime Family Portraits — Chicago Family Photography

There is nothing like the beauty of springtime in Chicago. The trees are all abloom, tulips everywhere, the grass is so green. Now isn’t this a gorgeous backdrop for a family portrait? I can’t wait for this family to see their images from this fun session.

Big News!

There is some very big changes happening at Barbara Breitsameter Photography. In June we will be moving into a new studio located in Park Ridge. The space is FABULOUS! The minute I walked in and saw this space — “the angels sang”. The new location has great visibility from the street and train station. It’s a 2 minute walk from the Dee Rd train station.

We will now have a large room for natural light photography with floor to ceiling north face windows! A north face light source is best for indoor natural light photography. Also there is a viewing room/office where all of the ordering consultations will take place. For my clients that prefer studio lighting we also have a spacious camera room complete with strobe lighting just like we have in the Arlington Hts. studio space. There will be a dressing room with large mirrors to touch-up your makeup and hair. There is even an outdoor fenced in area for pets.

Close by is the forest preserve and urban settings for outdoor sessions. We will still be offering outdoor sessions at our favorite photographer suggested locations too. Now we will even have more to offer our clients to customize your portrait session and look especially for you.

And the other news is we will be adopting a new name for Barbara Breitsameter Photography LLC. I will make that announcement when we open our doors.

At the Arlington Hts Studio location we are open by appointment only. At the new space we will have set studio hours that we will be open.

All photography sessions will be by appointment only.

The new studio hours will be:
Tuesday 9am to 4pm
Wednesday 9am to 4pm
Thursday 1pm to 8pm *evening hours*
Friday 9am to 2pm
Saturday — by appointment only
Closed on Sunday & Monday

These are the BEFORE images of the space. So the next month we will be working our magic on the new studio space painting, putting in wood floors, painting, decorating, and more painting.

Corgi Pups — Oh My! Dog Photography

There has been puppies, dogs, families and hs seniors in the studio. Later today I will post some from those sessions. Dr. Marty Greer DVM, renowned Veterinarian and author, came from Wisconsin to have her litter of absolutely, the most adorable Corgi pups photographed.

Whole Foods Imports Organic Food From China

This is something I felt strongly that I must share. It is upsetting to hear that Whole Foods is importing their organic food from CHINA. Please take the time to view this video link.

Thanks Cat for sharing this information.
